JKT Enterprises Pvt. Ltd. and JKT Nut Company LLP are family-owned businesses with a legacy of over 50 years in the food industry.
Our Mumbai office serves as the headquarters of the JKT Group.
Since its inception in 1977 by Mr. Kishore Thakkar, JKT has grown from a small enterprise into a leading exporter of high-quality food products.
By 1995, JKT expanded into international markets, and in 1998, it was certified as a government-recognized export house.
ISO 9001:2000 certification was achieved in 2004, demonstrating our commitment to quality.
EXPANSION INTO PROCESSING
In 2005, JKT established its first state-of-the-art plant in Navi Mumbai for peanuts and sesame seeds, later achieving ISO 22000 and BRC certification.
To strengthen supply and quality, we opened a peanut shelling plant in Rajkot in 2018, one of India’s largest, with:

35,000 sq. ft. area and 30,000 tons annual capacity

Fully automated shelling, grading, color sorting, laser sorting, metal detectors & magnets

A Peanut Processing plant in Chennai was added to source southern India Peanuts and maintain highest quality standards.
FOCUS ON PULSES – MUMBAI PLANT UPGRADE
With India’s pulse market growing rapidly, JKT’s imports of pulses have expanded considerably. To meet this demand:

Our Mumbai plant has been upgraded since 2023 into a cold storage and processing facility for pulses

Installed the latest processing line, including a polisher, for cleaning, grading, and packing
-
Packaged pulses are supplied both for export and Indian retail markets

Ensures high-quality handling, extended shelf-life, and attractive retail-ready packaging.
